We are seeing some laudable behaviour from HMRC in response to the current exceptional economic environment. Individual officers or client relationship managers have shown considerable empathy with clients facing difficult circumstances and where possible have engaged in facilitative behaviours such as giving quick clearances. One of the areas where help has been forthcoming is that of payment deferral.
