Two people stand out in my mind as having had a significant influence on me. Steve Edge with whom I had the privilege to sit during Articles for his creativity and energy and Howard Nowlan for his remarkable grasp of the technical intricacies of the UK tax system. I have tried to emulate the best of their styles but I am not best placed to judge the result!
