How did you end up in law?
For the same reason I support Chelsea and hate rice pudding: I copied my big brother. Pathetic really. I then chose tax because I loved the combination of the dry intellectual challenge of grappling with complex legislation and the very personal and human interaction with private clients who often bare their concerns and open up to an extent uncommon in other areas of law.
How do you see the Mishcon tax team evolving?
We’ve grown rapidly in the last year both on the personal and especially the corporate tax side. From just a couple of people ten years ago Mishcon de Reya’s tax group is now close to 20 and I see it going only one way.
What work is keeping you busy?
Client wise I’m involved in a multi-million pound business investment relief claim for a wealthy non-dom investing...
