A wide range of speakers covered a variety of National Insurance contributions planning subjects the first of which was Phil Nilson from the Inland Revenue's National Insurance Contributions Office who gave an update on changes. Phil covered online filing legislation where employers will be required to file on line and returns will have to meet a published standard. The penalty for failure to file on line could be a maximum of £3 000! The online filing timetable is such that employers with 250 or more employees must meet the May 2005 deadline and those with between 50 and 249 employees must file by May 2006....
