In the heart of London's West End there is a small firm of accountants which has built an enviable reputation in its 15 years' existence.
 
The firm has developed in a very individualistic way and I recently met the senior partner — Afshin Taraz — to learn about his unusual approach to building a successful practice from scratch.
 
Afshin trained with Peat Marwick in London and qualified in 1976. He then spent a period in their Computer Audit Group before moving to their Tehran office where he dealt largely with utility companies.
