(I hope you don't mind this mode of address but I need to gain your attention straight away.) I have written to your two immediate predecessors for the last 15 years and I must say it's a pleasant change writing to someone who at least knows about pensions from his previous experience. By the way I hope you or your minions have not lost all my previous correspondence as there is clearly a concerted attempt currently within the Civil Service to mislay things. It never happened in those happy days before computers you know. There's a lesson somewhere there but that is not what I want to tell (sorry advise)...
