Transactions with HMRC ‘will not be affected by the website migration’
HMRC has moved its corporate content, including ‘policy information’, to GOV.UK. A snapshot of the corporate material hosted on the HMRC website, taken on 17 February, is available on the National Archives website.
GOV.UK replaced DirectGov and the Business Link website last October. Information is provided for each government department and agency, and information is also grouped by topic. ‘For example, you can see how policies from HMRC and HM Treasury are contributing to Tax and revenue,’ HMRC said.
HMRC advice and services remain hosted on the HMRC website. They are due to move to GOV.UK ‘by the end of 2013’.
The ICAEW Tax Faculty published detailed HMRC guidance on the move, including movement of the material for tax agents and advisers, on 11 February. The Faculty said it had been told that ‘GOV.UK is an access route to HMRC transactions, which remain wholly under HMRC control and will not be affected by the website migration’.
