In the world of executive and employee share incentive schemes we have over the years had ESOPs CSOPs EMIs L-TIPs PSPs SARs QUESTS SIPs (and then SIPPs). Now the new buzzword is 'ExSOP' — or 'executive shared ownership plan'. An ExSOP was first established in 2003 by a subsidiary of a listed company. Since then a steadily growing number of listed and unlisted companies have now made ExSOP awards.
