The Public Bill Committee agreed government amendments to Schedule 8 (reduction in childcare relief for higher earners) and Schedule 10 (company ceasing to be a member of a group) on 24 May.

The Public Bill Committee agreed government amendments to Schedule 8 (reduction in childcare relief for higher earners) and Schedule 10 (company ceasing to be a member of a group) on 24 May.

The following provisions were passed without amendment:

  • Clauses 36-45: Childcare, salary sacrifice etc and the national minimum wage; accommodation expenses of MPs; experts seconded to European Union bodies; employment income, exemption for fees relating to monitoring schemes; individual investment plans for children; gift aid, increase of limits on total value of benefits associated with gifts; enterprise investment scheme, amount of relief; relief for expenditure on R&D by SMEs; value shifting; and company ceasing to be member of a group.
  • Schedule 9: Value shifting.

The Committee of the whole House passed clause 35 (reduction in childcare relief for higher earners) without amendment on 4 May.

The Public Bill Committee is scheduled to meet again on Tuesday, 7 June.
