In the first of a new series of policy articles Chris Sanger of Ernst & Young looks forward to the Budget and expects to see some hard decisions being made
 
Having survived the disruption around the G20 summit MPs will now have returned to their constituencies for the Easter recess with the prospect of the Budget on their third day back at work. For the Treasury however the recess is likely to be a busy time. Not only will the Treasury team have to consider the detailed policy options but also the signals that the Budget will send out in respect of the UK's future.
 
Similarly on the political side the Chancellor will be grappling with not just the pressures of the economic slump...
