The Capital Allowances (Energy-saving Plant and Machinery) (Amendment) Order, SI 2012/1832, and the Capital Allowances (Environmentally Beneficial Plant and Machinery) (Amendment) Order, SI 2012/1838, will take effect from 2 August 2012. Both amending orders give statutory force to the revised lists specifying energy-saving and water-efficient technologies and products which qualify for 100% first-year plant and machinery capital allowances.
