Brunei Darussalam has become the 113th signatory to the OECD multilateral convention on mutual administrative assistance in tax matters. The convention provides for all forms of international tax cooperation, and will enable Brunei Darussalam to implement the common reporting standard and begin exchanging information by 2018. The convention can also be used to implement BEPS transparency measures, such as automatic exchange of country-by-country reports and the sharing of tax rulings.
