The International Tax Compliance (Amendment) Regulations, SI 2022/474, bring additional international exchange arrangements within the scope of the International Tax Compliance Regulations, SI 2015/878.

The objective of the 2015 Regulations was to increase co-operation between tax administrations in the fight against tax fraud and evasion and other types of tax non-compliance. These new Regulations extend the application of the 2015 Regulations to arrangements entered into by the UK for the exchange of financial account information with other jurisdictions up to 20 April 2022. This includes arrangements entered into with Jamaica, Kenya, the Maldives and Morocco. The Regulations come into force on 18 May 2022.
