Administration and appeals: CIOT branches into HMRC
A new branch of the Chartered Institute of Taxation will be based in HMRC which employs 106 chartered tax advisers. The branch will aim to meet certain training and other requirements that the existing branch network does not provide for HMRC staff said Andrew Hubbard the CIOT's outgoing President. 'I hope this new branch will further strengthen the existing strong working relationship between the CIOT and HMRC ' he added. The tax body has 15 000 members.
