HMRC has published new Compliance Checks Factsheet CC/FS1k ‘Coronavirus
(COVID-19) impacts on visits’ noting that HMRC will keep the number of
taxpayer visits to a minimum. Where visits to business premises are deemed
necessary, HMRC will operate in line with government guidelines on social
distancing and hygiene, for example by using appropriate PPE. The Factsheet
notes that for announced visits, HMRC will contact the business in advance.
